With this, the photovoltaic + highway mode has once again attracted much attention.
In fact, with the huge existing scale and huge installed demand, the photovoltaic industry also urgently needs to explore more new application scenarios. As one of the “two mountains” of carbon emissions, the need for carbon emission reduction in the transportation sector is urgent, so photovoltaic + transportation is about to happen.
Especially for photovoltaic + highways, since 2022, the national level has issued relevant documents to encourage the layout of photovoltaic power generation along highways and other routes, and at the same time, Sichuan, Shanghai, Hunan and other places have also issued plans this year to promote the application of photovoltaic in highway areas.
